Celebrating Lunar New Year

We have been celebrating Chinese New Year this week through a variety of creative activities. The children learned about the story of the Chinese Zodiac and the animals involved in the great race. Throughout the week, the children practised mark-making by copying Chinese writing, explored junk modelling to collaboratively create a class dragon, and enjoyed moving ribbons using large arm movements to develop their gross motor skills. They also designed and made their own individual dragon puppets.
