Easter Breads
In DT this term, we are answering the big question: 'Why is bread used globally as part of a celebration meal at Easter?'.
The children have been researching and baking different breads used to celebrate Easter in different parts of the world.
Children were able to investigate fermentation and the role of yeast in making bread.
They also designed and baked hot cross buns, pane di pasqua, and babka.
I am sure many children will agree that the best part so far has been tasting and evaluating the delicious baked goods.
