Mosque Building

This term in RE, Year 4 has been learning about Islam. We have been focusing on Prophet hood, our big question being ' Why do some leaders and teachers inspire religious believers?'

We have been learning about the life of prophet Muhammad and his significance to Muslims. Today, we considered how the prophet and his teachings may have influenced modern day mosques.

The children took part in a virtual tour of a mosque before recording what they did and did not see inside a mosque. 

They were they tasked with constructing their own mosques, carefully and respectfully considering what would be on the inside and outside.
