RE Week
This week, Year 4 have been answering the big question, ‘If I were a Buddhist, how would I care for the environment?’.
Throughout the week, we learnt about the story of Buddha, the Four Noble Truths, and Buddhist belief of how suffering can be put to an end through the Noble Eightfold Path. Focusing on Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration, the children took part in mindful walks and meditation sessions.
Following this, they applied all their learning to answer the big question. They each painted their own Bodhi tree, under which they wrote actions that they would or would not take as a Buddhist to look after nature and the environment.
