Spinning spiders

This week we started a new text in Literacy called "Aaaarrgghh! Spider!" by Lydia Monks. We discussed whether spiders would make good pets and shared our opinions, giving reasons for why we liked or disliked them. We also drew our own spiders, hung them up using string, and went outside to search for real spiders. On the play dough table, we pretended to make minibeast fossils by pressing bugs into the play dough and seeing what marks they left behind.
