Anti-bullying Week in Year 5

This years anti-bullying week theme is around respect. 

Year 5 have explored how we can show respect to people, places and things. 

We developed our own definition of respect: Acting or speaking in a way that shows you care about how you are affecting others

We thought carefully about the language we use and the actions we carry out and considered if they would help or harm others. 

In addition we carried out learning around  The No Outsiders text, The Girls by Lauren Ace. It describes how friendships grow and develop. 

We wrote poems describing what you have to do in order to maintain and develop a friendship.
