Autumn Arrives in Nursery

As children started to inquire why the Nursery garden was filling with leaves, we kickstarted our Autumn learning. Following children's interests and responding to their questions is our best way of helping them discover and learn.

We started the week venturing to 'SIlver Birches', the field situated at the far end of the school. On the journey there we discovered the different types of trees and leaves that are siutated throughout the school site. We are so lucky at St Andrew's to have such a range of wildlife and outdoor space. Whilst at Silver Birches we spotted a centipede crawling across a tree stump and even found Mr McGregor's shed in a next door garden... Peter Rabbit was nowhere to be seen however!

Back at Nursery we were thinking about Autumn colours and being creative using a whole range of media and expressive art mediums. Paint appears to be a firm favourite, especially when painting our hands is involved!
