BATTLE OF THE BEAKS

As we have been learning about evolution and inheritance, we have discussed Darwin's voyage on the HMS Beagle and his key observations. This includes all the different specimens of Finch that he collected from the Galapagos Islands.

This week in our science lesson we all became finches with different beaks and investigated what type of food suited our beaks best. We had 30 seconds to get each different type of food - it was a battle of the beaks! We gathered lots of data and next week we will use our skills in statistics to analyse and present the data so that we can draw some conclusions.
