British Science Week

This week the children have been celebrating British Science Week by focusing on the topic of, 'Change and Adapt'. This has encompassed several areas of our Science curriculum and prompted some wonderful questions from the children in Year 2.

They began the week by exploring animals and how they have adapted to suit a certain habitat or environment. They looked at the characteristics of the animals and explained why they were suited for a certain parts of the world.

The children have also looked at how the world has been changing, they focused on how the melting of ice can impact the sea level across the world. They enjoyed an experiment that illustrated the impact melting ice can have.
