CELEBRATING THE QUEENS JUBILEE

On Monday we were delighted to welcome the children back to school by kicking off the term with a fun-filled day celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee! In Year 2, we learnt about Queen Elizabeth II and shared our own facts that we had researched at home! We worked tirelessly in Maths using our  knowledge to crack various clues for a mystery about the Queen’s missing brooch and in Literacy, we  wrote poems dedicated to her royal highness. At lunch, we celebrated together by having an outdoor picnic surrounded with all of the bunting that had been decorated at home and even designed our very own crowns and drew portraits of the Queen. What a fantastic day!
