Celtic Harmony Visit

This week, Year 3 children have travelled back in time to the prehistoric Britain for the whole day! We spent the whole day with a man from the Iron Age who knew nothing about Minecraft or lightbulbs!

Throughout the day, we learnt to: grind seeds on Iron Age Quern Stones, make bread, make pottery and had a go at flint knapping (well, it was soap knapping just to make things a bit easier!).

We also explored the timeline of events from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. The day finished we a trading activity in which some of us showed real business skills.

As the weather was on our side, we had a picnic outdoors surrounded by the prehistoric round houses.
