Christian Aid Week 2020
To link in with our learning and to explore some more examples of the way different Christians explore their values across the world, let's consider Christian Aid week and what that means to you.
Being away from the hustle and bustle of normal school life is a really good opportunity to take some time to reflect: on what you want, who you are, and how you want to achieve your goals. For example, this week I am realising a childhood ambition and trying my hand at water-colour painting. Results to follow! I have reminded myself that it is not the finished product that is important, but the experience of getting there.
Why not try a new skill or activity this week and think about how different Christians are connected to each other across the globe by our shared beliefs and values: https://www.messychurch.org.uk/sites/default/files/uploads/pdf/MC_ChristianAidsession.pdf
I particularly like the scales activity, and the toilet roll art looks like a lot of fun! Remember you can post any photographs of your work to the school facebook page.
In this time with our families, it is easy to feel separate and apart from our friends and other adults in our lives; our values and beliefs, whatever they might be, tell us we have invisible threads linking us together. Enjoy them!
