Do you speak Maths?

This week in our maths lessons, Year 4 have been looking at the importance of using the correct mathematical vocabulary and how to select the most specific word for that particular maths problem.

We looked at the fact we are overloaded with vocabulary in maths and how it is sometimes hard to know what is the best word to use!  Speaking frames and word trees were created by the class to help us with this challenge.
