Flower Pressing

For Outdoor Learning this week, the children in  Key worker A group spent some time outside investigating which trees and plants had flowers. As we have a lot of grass and trees,  we didn't expect to find many flowers.  We were wrong! In our school grounds we were amazed to find a wide range of beautiful flowering plants: weeds, wild flowers and cultivated plants. We each picked a few, taking care not to overdo it, and then spent some time arranging them in images to be pressed.

I was very impressed by the creativity shown by all of the children. We now need to wait three weeks until we can have a look, while the flowers dry. It is going to be a tricky wait!
