Forest School BEGINS!

Today we started Forest School in Nursery.  Children were very excited to spend time exploring and investigating in the woods.  To introduce Forest School, we learned some games such as ‘123 Where are you?’ and how to keep safe whilst playing and exploring.  Wonderful listening and joining in, well done!

During the session, children were invited to collect some natural materials from the forest floor to make a natural handprint or artwork of their choice.  Mrs Knappert discovered that gluesticks don’t work with damp natural materials!  Well, we learn something new everyday! Children we so happy in the woods, using their imagination to play together, and particularly enjoying the fixed den.  We also played some active games such as Hide and Seek, What’s the time, Mr Wolf? and simple chase games.

 After a little while, we stopped to have a rest and enjoy some snack together. We are really looking forward to our next sessions, bring it on!
