Here We Are

Year 3 children started a New Year with great enthusiasm and engagement. All the children are very excited about taking part in the North Herts writing competition which will last for three weeks. Everyone has been super active in the English lessons, making predictions about the text, creating expanded noun phrases to create an image and use conjunctions to link ideas. Although it is only the first week of the competition, the children are full of creative ideas. It was very fun to discuss what it is like in our brains and draw pictures to represent our 'Brains of Curiosity'. A wide variety of pictures revealed that some brains are like a circus with balancing plates, a whirlpool of ideas or exploding popcorn.
