I'm afraid of no SATs

As you may have heard from your child, or guessed from the title, the children completed some past SATs papers. Their effort was fantastic for all 5 papers. They showed be really proud of themselves. 

Equally impressive was their effort and attitude to learning afterwards. Although clearly tired from the effort they had put in, the children still tried hard in lessons afterwards. 

They looked at why Britain wanted to expand their empire, researched scientists and were really engaged when Phase came in for a workshop on responsibilities, role models and resilience  (as part of their lessons on getting ready to move on). 

The week ended with children learning to use formulas when using spreadsheets.
