Imperial War Museum, Duxford

On Tuesday, Year 6 enjoyed a trip to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.  They started the day making documentaries about some of the World War II artefacts in the American Air Museum.  It was fantastic to see how engaged the children were, reading about the various exhibits and recording each other to produce their own informative film clips.  We visited the Ops Block which was used during WWII to control the aircraft flying in and out of Duxford and saw aircraft, ambulances and air raid shelters in the Battle of Britain hangar.  After lunch, we visited the exhibits in the AirSpace hangar and particularly enjoyed going aboard Concorde.  Our trip ended with some fun in the playground!
