Internet safety week

In year 1 we were looking at whether we can believe what we see on the internet or not.

I showed year 1 a video of penguins flying - but didn't talk about whether it was true or not ?? Later in the week we revisited the programme and questioned if what we saw on the video clip was to be believed??

The vast majority of the children thought it was true, but when I showed them it was a trick played by the BBC for April fools day. We then discussed what can and cannot be trusted on the internet even from reputable organisations like the BBC.
