Learning about the continents in Year 1

Year 1 children arrived at the beginning of term with some handsome blue globes they had made at home.

Since then we have identified and named the continents of the world and we are now cutting them out and sticking them in the right places (hopefully) on the globes. Our classroom is looking very bright as we hang the completed globes up.

It has been a fun way for Year 1 to learn the names of the continents and also get an idea of their shape and where they are on our planet.
