Lego and Mars Rovers

During computing this week Year 5 have been creating their own Mars Rover using Lego We Do programme. 

Everyone followed the steps instructed on the ipad to create the structure which, once completed, could be controlled by the programming children directed. This was a great chance for children to combine their knowledge of space from science and of previous programming knowledge from computing.

This week we finished the Borrowers and have started Cosmic by Frank Cotterall Boyce as our class novel in English. The humorous style has appealed to the children already! The story is about a boy who ends up in a secret space mission without his parents knowledge.
