Looking For Numbers

We are developing our skills of subitising (automatically recognising amounts) in Reception. We have been busy spotting quantities up to 5 in our environment. Today we spotted: 4 balls in a basket, 3 trains on the train track, 2 windows in a row and 5 paintbrushes in a pot!

We really enjoyed sprinkling pom-poms onto big paper and circling and labelling the quantities we could see.
