Mapping our own small world

This week, to finish our Geography topic on mapping skills, year 2 worked together in groups to create our own small town. The children created shops, roads, houses and train stations in their town. We then put grids over our towns so we could create maps of them. We spoke about how important it is to make maps accurate so that people can follow them. We used the grid to help us to keep our maps an accurate size. Super work year 2!
