Metamorphosis

This week, in science, we have been learning about the life-cycles of animals. We have considered the difference between a complete metamorphosis and an incomplete metamorphosis. We then used secondary sources to find out about the life cycle of a particular insect and created circular dials to represent our learning. We were very careful to use the correct vocabulary and learnt many new words such as nymph, larva and pupa. One of our pupils brought in a real pupa so that we could experience how hard and protective the outer shell was.
