NEW SKILLS
In these strange times when we can't do many of the things we would usually do, I decided it was time to learn some new skills. I was lucky enough to be given some strong (bread) flour by a friend last weekend and had some 'starter' ( the stuff that helps sourdough bread to rise) at the back of the fridge which I didn't think I would ever get around to using. After many hours of puzzling over instructions and waiting for the dough to rise, the finished loaf was not bad at all, which was quite a surprise!
I wonder what new skills you have been learning. Or maybe you have been practising old skills? If you can, post pictures of you learning new skills or practising old ones on the facebook page.
Finally, I thought you might like to see an update of the weird plant I showed you a couple of weeks ago. Some of you will have recognised that it was a tree fern starting to unfurl its leaves. This is what it looks like now. When fully grown, the leaves are about 1.5m long. I hope you have a lovely weekend with your families and enjoy some time outside in the beautiful sunshine.
