Newts and News Reporter with the Dragons

Today in the dragon class, we finished off our observational drawings of the smooth newts we found in the school pond.  We were especially surprised to discover that the male newts have darker spots of them and the females tend to have shorter legs!

We were also treated to our News Reporter of the Week - also on a nautical theme - presenting a talk about Boats.  We learnt about some of the different language used when sailing such as Port and Starboard, what the helm and the deck are used for and where to go on the boat when you want a lie down!  Well done to Alice for her excellent research and presenting skills, and to our audience for super listening.
