Our Class Assembly

On Friday, year 5 enthusiastically performed their class assembly to the whole school and their families and friends.

The learning they shared included history around the Vikings, suspenseful writing and science learning around plant reproduction.

During the history section, they explained the reasoning why The Norsemen invaded Lindisfarne Priory, the reasons why Viking Longboats where so effective and why The Norseman found farming easier in the Britain.

The suspenseful writing showed how tools such as personification, fronted adverbials and hiding things from the reader can have a strong impact on the audience.

The science section gave a clear explanation of how flowers lead to plant reproduction. We also shared our germination investigation around light and dark.

All of the children gave clear, engaging and very amusing performances. We are extremely proud of you all.
