Our Wonderful bodies

As an introduction to our science topic this term ,year one looked at different parts of the body and the sometimes problematic methods of measuring them!  The children discussed and compared the most effective methods using ape measures and rulers and problem-solved when they discovered that the tapes only go to 100cm!!   Using think skills to solve and rationalise, koinonia to work as a team and practising our one-voice and speaking tips ensured each member of the group had a clear task and voice.   Well done Year One!
