Out and about in Hitchin

Today, we were out and about in Hitchin, conducting surveys. We interviewed local people and visitors about what makes them feel safe in Hitchin. We worked in groups to create questionnaires on the computer. We considered what might make people feel safe, including traffic restrictions and road crossings. It was interesting to hear the perspectives of local residents about how safe they feel in Hitchin and why. This will help us with our geography question, as we begin to consider which is the safest state in America and why. 

Miss Cookson was incredibly proud of Year 5's conduct and how well they interacted with the members of the public. They demonstrated our school values with confidence and represented the school so well.
