Performance Poetry

Recently, Year 5 watched some famous poems being performed whilst we analysed the use of; tone, intonation, volume and action and how it impacted on the meaning of the poem for the audience.
We then used what we found out to inform our own performance of Roald Dahl's The Pig. Each group had a section of the poem to memorise and perform making sure we made clear how we were using tone, volume, intonation and action to enhance the meaning of the poem for the audience. Well done Year 5!
