Remembrance Day

Year 6 took part in our Remembrance Day activities by painting beautiful poppies. Using their chosen techniques, the children thought carefully about the effect they wanted to create for the viewer. They explored the size and shape of their poppies, experimented with colour mixing, and considered how different background colours could enhance their artwork.

Once the paintings were complete, we held a gallery walk where everyone had the opportunity to admire each other’s creations and offer thoughtful peer feedback.

The finished poppies are now proudly displayed as part of our whole-class Remembrance display.
