STEM Challenge

With support from the Head of Design Technology and some sixth formers from Hitchin Girls School, Year 6 completed a STEM challenge to design a moon base that the first group of humans could live in to practise for life on Mars.  Using recycled materials, they built their bases, incorporating features such as a power supply, living quarters, a social area, a laboratory, an area to grow crops and a launch pad. The children were very engaged in creating their designs and really demonstrated our school values of koinonia and perseverance.
