Salt dough Stuart Houses
Over the last 3 weeks in art, year 2 have planned, made and painted salt dough houses in the style of the 1666 Stuart houses from our Great Fire of London topic. The children rolled the dough to create the effect of beams and carved in details such as windows and doors. We left the houses to air dry and then painted them very carefully to create the look of traditional black and white houses. They are now hung on the classroom wall to be proudly displayed for visitors to see. What wonderful art work, year 2!
