Spring time
I though you would like to see this picture of the sweet peas you planted a few weeks ago. I am hoping that they will survive without us there to water them!
This time of year is a great time to be planting seeds. I am thinking about planting climbing French beans or runner beans as they don't take up too much space and taste delicious! Find a space about 70cm in diameter and make a wigwam from strong sticks, like we did in school. Put a couple of seeds about 1cm deep at the bottom of each stick and water. If you are lucky enough to be able to do this, maybe you could keep a diary or observation sheet of your plants, just like the ones you set up in school. Take photos once the plants start to grow and post on the school Facebook page!
If you can't find any seeds to grow then perhaps you could choose a plant in your garden and observe it instead? I have chosen a grass in my garden which grows quite tall and am keeping a record of how it changes every day. In the last week it has grown over 15cm!
Finally, Spike is ok - I am trying to remember to water him at home. I hope you are all managing to spend some time outside in this lovely sunny weather.
