St Andrew's C of E (VA) Primary

Step into Christmas

Wow! What an incredible performance the Nursery children gave of their Nativity production. They learnt 8 songs, all with actions and performed brilliantly to a hall packed with their parents and relatives. In what we believe was a Nativity first, they even danced the Haka!

Since then, the children have been really interested in continuing to learn about the cultural and religious learning surrounding Christmas. We have discussed the importance of Jesus's birth and how we can continue his teachings. They have chosen to explore a pop-up children's version of the Bible, reading numerous Bible stories including Noah's Ark and David and Goliath. A few children chose to replicate Noah's animals boarding the ark in the construction area.

The classroom is slowly being taken over by elves... There have even been a few sightings of the big man himself!
