The World of Dragons
We went on a dragon hunt. No, we didn't catch a big one but yes, we were a little bit scared.
A large part of this week has centred around our text - Dragonology. We began by learning about the places in our world where dragon have been spotted. In order to develop our descriptive language, painted watercolours of the different places.
By Friday, we had had reports of dragon sightings on the school grounds, particularly in the forest school area. After a careful risk assessment, we decided to go on a dragon hunt and see if we could find signs of dragon life.
We were very successful and found what we believe to be dragon footprints, nests with eggs and charred tree stumps.
Next week, we need to record our important findings in our trekking journal.
