Theatres and Performers
Recently, many of the children have shown an interest in performing, setting up rows of chairs for the audience then acting or singing. We have loved watching them work togther to perform songs, directing each other around the stage and showing one another to their seats. Over the week, their ideas have gained pace and culminated in creating our very own theatre in the classroom.

As practisioners, we respond to the children's interests by supporting, suggesting and extending their ideas. In doing this, we can encourage them to practise a wide range of skills in context. This week they have engaged with mark-making through creating tickets and programmes, story retelling with puppets and creating props and scenery.
