Using drama to understand others
In English recently we used drama to try and understand what it was like to be a Neanderthal person over 200,000 years ago. We used an image from our book 'The Pebble in my Pocket' of a group of people around a fire to give us some ideas and we talked about what the daily life of a Neanderthal might have been like.
When we acted out our ideas in small groups, it turned out that most of us were thinking mainly about our tummies as every group discussed when supper was going to be! We also talked about where Neanderthal people would have slept and what they wore (or didn't). We agreed that they wouldn't have had homework!
