Waterproof Den Experiment

This week, as part of our materials topic in Science, we conducted a waterproof den experiment. We heard about a Teddy who wanted to play outside but needed a den to keep him dry! We each had 4 materials- foil, cling film, kitchen towel and tissue paper and we had to predict which material would be the most waterproof. We each then had a plastic cup with a miniature version of the Teddy in,  covered the cup with each material and used a pipette to make sure we were being accurate with the amounts of water. We recorded our findings and then wrote a conclusion of what we had found. We all found that foil and cling film were the most waterproof material and would be best to keep Ted dry. What super investigations Year 2!
