Our parents truly became Santa’s little helpers this term, delivering a very special gift to our classroom. Thank you to Mrs Pearce, Mrs Powell, Mrs Smith, Mrs Olabode and Ms Hsiao for the generous donation of 50 books, all from the recommended reading list for children aged 10–11.

During the final week of term, the children enjoyed unwrapping a few books each day and reading the blurbs, building excitement as the collection grew. Once all the books were revealed, everyone chose a favourite and couldn’t wait to start reading.

Each child borrowed their chosen book to enjoy over the Christmas break, helping to keep their love of reading alive beyond the classroom. Thank you to our parents for such a thoughtful and lasting gift!
