What does it mean to be well educated?

Despite the over whelming sadness that many of us are feeling at the present time, we are beginning to settle into our new routines and fulfil the expectations of upper kS2.
For our first PSHE lessons we have been thinking about what a well-educated person is like and what we need to do in order to ensure that we become well educated.
We have used our St. Andrew’s Vision Cube Elements to guide us alongside the example set by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Here are some of our ideas.

They recognise the importance of their environment and do their part of care for it. They recycle where possible and don’t drop litter.

A well-educated person is curious. They are always asking questions and listening to others. They are open-mined and willing to change their ideas.

They are respectful of others and remember to say please and thank you.

They have techniques for remembering what they have learn, they keep practising their skills and persevere when they are struggling.
