What is God like?
Our visit to Holy Saviour
This half term in R.E. we have been thinking about what God is like. Sometimes he is seen as a holy being who is powerful, pure and all knowing. Other times he is seen as a kind and loving teacher who would do anything for us.
During our visit to Holy Saviour Church, Father Ian lead a discussion about our personal views around the nature of God. We then investigated the church building to signs of what God is like. Some of us felt that because the church organ was loud, it was a sign of God’s power. Others felt that the font showed a welcoming father.
All the children’s comments showed deep thought and consideration. Well done year 5 and a big thank you to Father Ian for giving us his time and wise thoughts.
