Why do we decide to read a specific book?

To celebrate World Book Day, year 5 thought carefully about the types of books love to read, particularly at bedtime. 

How do their favourite books make them feel? What sort of characters do they like to have in their stories? What hooks them into the tale? 

We created book reviews for our reading corner so that we could share our favourite books with other children in the class. 

Later in the morning, we enjoyed a buddy read with our year 1 friends.
