World Book Day Fun
On Thursday, year 5 joined with the rest of the school and what seemed like the whole world to celebrate World Book Day. The costumes that the children created where so imaginative and show a great deal of resourcefulness.
Each and every child had a strong understanding of the plot of their particular text. As we carried out our role on the wall activity, evident that they understood their character's personality and were able to back up their view using the text. Well done year 5.
In the afternoon, we had a secret reader session. Most of the children in year 5 opted to hear narrative poems by the author Michael Rosen. As well as hearing the old favourites such as Chocolate Cake they were introduced to new poems such as Eddie and the Nappy. We all found them absolutely hilarious.
