YEAR 6 VISITS WHIPSNADE ZOO

On Monday we had a really enjoyable and informative day at Whipsnade Zoo. We have been learning about classification in Science and we attended a great workshop that helped us really understand the Linnean Classification system. We also got to meet Charlie the cockroach! 

After a safari steam train ride, we enjoyed our packed lunches in the play area where there were no other children so we were able to go on all the play equipment. After lunch we went off in groups to see other endangered species in the zoo. Particular highlights were the tigers, bears, wolverines and red pandas. It was a great day out!
