You Rang My Lord!

Today, Year 5 had a wonderful time developing their history skills and learning what life was like for the servants at Audley End. After taking a tour of the house itself and inferring about the kinds of values the family who lived there might have held, they entered into the life of a servant. 

Not only did they experience what it was like to carry out the different tasks, such as floor scrubbing, empting the chamber pots and cleaning the silver, they were also given the opportunity to think about the different roles appointed to boys and girls.
